8:30-9:00 AM Registration and coffee / treats.
9:00-9:30 Introduction and overview of the home buying process.
9:30-10:30 Loan officers from banks and savings and loans — the importance of pre-qualifying and pre-approval, improving credit in anticipation of this process, how to shop for a loan, what to expect from a loan officer, and an introduction to the programs available to help us buy a first home (Home Start, Home Choice, FHA, VA, RD, MBOH).
10:45-12:15 Government and non-profit programs that help with buying homes — HUD/FHA, MT Board of Housing, Rural Development Services, Gr8 Hope, Home Choice Coalition, Montana Home Ownership Network.
12:15-1:15 Lunch will be available for a nominal charge, or on your own.
1:15-2:15 Credit reports: how to order one, how to correct mistakes, their importance.
2:30-5:00 30-40 minute pre-qualification meetings — Individual time with loan officers to look over your options and opportunities.

2:00-2:30 Home Appraisers, and their role in the process.
2:45-3:15 Home Inspectors — what they each look for in a house, who hires them, and how what they do affects you.
3:15-4:00 Title company — about what is involved in the closing process.
4:00-5:00 Evaluation of the course; and GRADUATION!
